About The Festival

The International Festival of African and Afro-descendant Films Bangui Fait Son Cinéma is a platform for the promotion of African and Afro-descendant cinema. Led by the Central African Association for Audiovisual Promotion and Development (ACPAD), this annual event attracts film professionals, artists, and a diverse audience.

The 6th edition will take place from 9-16 December 2025 in Bangui (Central African Republic)under the theme "Cinema, Innovation and Solidarity for a Sustainable World".

For its 6th edition, the festival continues to grow in ambition and impact, offering a rich program, immersive screenings, and engaging activities that contribute to the valorization of African culture and the development of the film industry in the Central African Republic.

·         Opening & Closing Ceremony: shows, screenings, fashion show, and interventions by personalities

This year, we are innovating by offering an exceptional opening night, combining cinema, music, and haute couture, for a unique and unforgettable experience. The prospective artist, Fally Ipupa, undisputed icon of African music.

Elegance will also be honored with an exclusive fashion show by the great Burkinabe couturier O'PattHeo, renowned for his unique expertise and his ability to elevate African fashion.

And the opening film, Katanga, the Dance of the Scorpions by Dani Kouyaté thus offering a true artistic immersion between visuals, music, and haute couture. An exceptional moment, designed for culture enthusiasts, patrons, and partners who wish to live an exclusive and refined experience

Objectives

The objectives of BFSC are as follows:

·         Promote professionalism in the film industry among Africans and Afro-descendants;

·         Highlight films made by or for Africans worldwide, with the aim of presenting a positive image of Africa and also inspiring the younger generation in search of role models;

·         Encourage networking among African and Afro-descendant professionals from all backgrounds;

·         Ultimately create a chain of solidarity among film practitioners who share an African spirit or sympathize with the continent's cause."
